Worship – November 16th

Categories

We are on the fourth week of our annual Stewardship Campaign.

On Sunday, November 16th, we will be learning about a model of giving and stewardship. William Carey, a Baptist missionary in India—known as the “Father of Modern Missions” and one of the founders of the Baptist Missionary Society—once said, “Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God.” This is exactly what the churches in Macedonia did for the Lord.

In 2 Corinthians 8:1-7, Paul reminds us about the models of Christian Stewardship as shown by the Macedonian believers—because of the grace that God has bestowed upon them. The believers were experiencing the last severe trial that left them in a condition of extreme poverty. Despite adverse conditions, God enabled the Macedonians to give generously. The Macedonians are a testimony that it is possible not merely to experience joy but to have it “overflow” in the midst of trials.

Come join us for worship as we learn from the Macedonian believers how to be fearless givers in fearful times.
