Maundy Thursday
This is the day in which Christians take time to remember the Last Supper, when Jesus and his disciples dined together for the last time before his death.
Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once. My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:31-35)
Join us for Maundy Thursday service at 7pm, on Thursday, April 2! All are welcome!
He will swallow up death forever
He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

Palm Sunday Worship
Every year, the Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday celebrating the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem for the last time. On that first Palm Sunday, the people were expecting Jesus, the promised Messiah to come as a powerful warrior—one who would gather the faithful to do battle with the Roman power—one who would drive Caesar from the land of Israel. Instead, he chose to ride on a lowly donkey—that was borrowed.
Please come and join our worship at First Baptist Church of Hudson to learn why Jesus entered Jerusalem on a borrowed donkey.
Please read: Mark 11:1-11
As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.'” 4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” 10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!” “Hosanna in the highest!” 11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God
“neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Palm Sunday is upon us!
Palm Sunday is one of the most important days in the Christian calendar after Christmas and Easter. Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter, and marks the beginning of Holy Week, the week of events leading up to Jesus’ death.
This event includes the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem while palm fronds were tossed in the path before him.
Join us for Palm Sunday Services on March 29 at 10:30am.
