Upside Down Living – Adult Sunday School Class

In case you haven’t heard, Pastor Moa is leading our adult Sunday School class this year. And, he is basing it on a book / study he used in his prior church: Upside Down Living, by Greg Laurie. As stated in the title’s tagline, it is: A Template for Changing Ourselves and the World from the Book of Acts.

After the first “official” class participants are finding this to be a rich and rewarding study, with lots of stimulating conversation!

If you’d like to acquire the book and participate in this exciting Sunday School class (there is still time to join in), simply click on the book’s image below to be transported to Amazon. If you order now you should have it in time for class this Sunday at 9:15am.

Hope to see you there!

Scripture Reading Sunday, 9/21

If you are in the area, please come and worship with us at First Baptist Church of Hudson on Sunday, September 21st.

Our worship starts at 10:30 a.m.

We will be reading the gospel according to Mark 10:46-52, to learn a few lessons from the life of Bartimaeus about following Jesus.

Mark 10:46-52:

46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging.  47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”  48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”  49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”  50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.  51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”  52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest

‭Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭1-2‬ NIV
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””
